Three years ago, I survived a heart attack and underwent a quadruple cardiac bypass graft and now, I am facing another battle with lymphatic cancer. My spouse and I have a child that we are raising, and the love and concern they both express are heartwarming, and of course, cause for tears.
May I ask for prayers for both of them. I love them with all my soul. Also, I ask you for prayer....I am both hopeful and will fight this disease, while simultaneously surrendering to the will of the Father in all these matters of live and death.
A blessed Easter.....
I will be in surgery tomorrow and especially need prayer in the late morning. I will probably be unable to share with you for some time after then.

I am always sorry to hear another story of how the flesh can rebel against its own lifeforce. Strange, the eternal wonders we are meant to become hatch from such fragile, tenacious stuff. The meditative progress and bottomless awe we can slowly and painstakingly achieve, burst in an instant mist at the first humbling twinge to, of all things, take a pee. Stupid demanding bodies...
Your request was spot on, and selfless and I will raise up a prayer for your family and for you. May they stay strong through whatever God will put them through, through you. May you remain the same while growing above the debasement of earned pity illness strikes the mind with. May your pain be light and brief and successful, your stupid body cooperative, your window big and face the best view and your candy striper a hot sign of the times guy to wile away the hours keeping you from the ones you love.
I'll pray for a surprising, quick recovery and look forward to your complex and enlightening words' return.

And will do so again today.
Dear soul, I hear you loud and clear. Likewise Awediot - who rails against something that troubles and frustrates me greatly, namely the frailty of the body, which is our only instrument in this life.
You go into this procedure with the best frame of mind possible. Surrender. I pray you and your loved ones will be spared from suffering. I liked Awediot's prayer as well, especially the part about the candy striper! :D
Thank you for being here on this forum and my day shall be much brightened when you return after your recovery.
