go to http://www.harrahs.com/casinos/paris-las-vegas/glbt/ and listen to the song on the video clip.

Can anyone tell me the name of the song, or who the orchestra might be?

Scott really likes that bit of music, and I'd like to get it for our wedding....

Haven't found it yet, but I'm on the trail. Here's an article about the ad (http://online.wsj.com/public/article/SB119395703996679731-Kvad2HXdLK83b1NlRUU5ZFU8b2g_20071202.html?mod=tff_ main_tff_top) (it doesn't mention the music) and here's a youtube video of the full ad, which reveals the music to be even better than the cut version.

It's a pretty recent ad; you might be able to get information from the hotel.

thanks for the help matt.

I just did a little more sleuthing. I've posted at adtunes, and now at commerical closet. and finally I emailed the press office of the ad company that created the ad. Hopefully, something will turn up!

I also had to chase scott away from the computer. I want this to be a surprise.

Somebody pointed me in the direction of this song. I don't know if it's the song exactly, but it's darn close. Maybe the ad agency had a fake version made specifically for the ad.

Have I a hope, or half a chance
To even ask if I could dance with you, yoo hoo
Would you greet me or politely turn away
Would there suddenly be sunshine on a cold and rainy day
Oh babe, what would you say?

For there are you, sweet lollipop
Here am I with such a lot to say, hey hey
Just to walk with you along the milky way
To caress you through the nighttime
Bring you flowers everyday
Oh babe, what would you say?

'Cause, oh, baby I know
I know I could be so in love with you
And I know that I could make you love me too
And if I could only hear you say you dooo, ooh, ooh, ooh
But anyway, what would you say?

Yes, oh, baby I know
I know I could so in love with you
And I know that I could make you love me too
And if I could only hear you say you dooo, ooh, ooh, ooh
But anyway, what would you say?

Haven't listened to the tune or watched the vid, but I googled the lyrics provided by Matt and found this:

http://www.amiright.com/artists/hurricanesmith.shtml

According to this site, the lyrics are by Hurrican Smith, aka, Norman Smith. And the title is Oh Babe, What would you say?

The site above notes that the lyrics you are using are not the original ones. That fits with Matt's sleuthing.

I think it's that version of the song that's at issue. It's beautiful, nice and ballroom/jazzy.
