I can honestly say that I felt this way in the past when it came to hiding in the closet.

The best way I can think and sum this up is using the God-forbidden no good for nothing cockroach.

Now envision with me. (Try to sink into my world...) What do cockroaches do once they are spotted? They scurry in multiple directions seeking out the next safe dark area to hide - except, for that lonely one left behind scared in horror that the "truth" is out now. :) Can you just see this gay cockroach looking up saying AAAAAHHHH!

Wish I was a cartoonist....

That's an interesting way of putting it. Many of us have felt that way. The day I came out to my wife and son was the day that I was free to be out totally. As a transgender woman, I can be the person I was meant to be.

Yes. Like if you slip up, and...yes.

I like the analogy- you paint a vivid picture for me.
But it's interesting that you're also the one who turned on the light in he analogy, making the world a brighter place to live in.:)
