Just thought it might be interesting for us to take a look at the 'hidden bias' testing here.
I have enjoyed taking these tests and on occasion have been surprised by the results.

Zerbie,
I took the test but the results came out that the test showed no preference for either candidate. However, I feel that I definitely have a preference.

For a second, I was like, 'Huh????":confused::confused:
Now I see they have added an Obama/McCain preference test to the top of the list. Will have to take that and see what they decide I've decided. :p
That wasn't what I had in mind when I posted, though. I was thinking of all the bias tests dealing with racism, sexual orientation, sexism, etc.

There are, like, 20 different tests on the list. Unless somehow you are accessing a different page. . .
Let me see if I can post a link directly to the list I'm talking about.
Okay. Found it. I meant to link over to HERE:

I took the race bias test. I was surprised that the results were more positive than I expected. Which, when I think about it, doesn't make sense. Why would I be surprised that I am way less bias than I thought?
Added later: I guess what I'm wondering here is, do I think I have deeply held prejudices that I actually don't have? Or, are they really there and the test is flawed? Or, is it white guilt?

Were that I had a moderate automatic preference for Barack Obama. No surprise there. The study methodology is Fascinating. Quick categorization of images of Obama and McCain and words that have good and bad connotations.

Yeah!!
The implicit associations were hard for me on that one.
Especially living in AZ and having a front row seat to McCain's transformation from someone with apparent integrity to a complete sell-out, I have extraordinary negative feelings about him.
It actually HURT my chest whenever I correctly categorized words like "love" under his category. Hurt!
I've taken most of the tests at one time or other.
Some of the results surprised me. I really thought that most of them were going to show me regarding two different groups about exactly evenly.
Most showed a slight preference for one group over another.
But the gay/straight test, wow! The computer laughed at me and called me a f*g h*g.
:p
