Hi my name is Gillian. I am a post-op transgender woman. I live in Louisville, Kentucky. I am the proud parent of two girls - 26 and 18 yo.
Spirituality has always been important to me. I grew up in the Presbryterian church and was an active member as an adult leading litergy teams and serving as an usher. Following marriage in 1990, I attended a liberal-thinking Catholic church where I served on the Worship Committee, led litergy teams, co-developed a Mary Magdalen celebration, and led children's Easter mass one year.
In 2002, I came out to my daughter's mom that I am a transgender person. Our marriage ended shortly thereafter. Since that time I have disowned by my brother, a Southern Baptist chaplain and my aunt in Alabama. My parents have passed.
I now attend a More Light Presbryterain church. I serve on the Faith Forum Committee and am responsible for ushers the first Sunday of the month.
My spirituality has been in the past 10 years greatly influenced by John Shelby Spong. I define my life by sharing my compasson and love for others. I believe in a God of love. Not a God of judgment.
Peace be with you.
