AfA reports- homosexuals/short life span

If it is clear to the AFA that the proof that being homosexual is unhealthy and immoral due to the percentage of gay men who have contacted AIDs, develope a high rate of depression, suicide,etc.., then being a white female is unhealthey and immoral. White females are more likely to develope some sort of eating disorder, such as anorexia or bullemia. Much fewer black females have such eating disorders. It must be immoral to be a white woman. If you are a white woman, then you will more likely have this psycological disorder, thus, it is unhealthy to be a white woman and it must be immoral as well.

Lets see if we can find other statistics and reports to justify our hatred towards a special group of people.

If the mental health issues determine how unhealthy and immoral homosexuals are, then what about the anger and hate that many right winged conservatives have?

Aren't there studies that show that too much anger, stress, hatred, etc. can lead to major health issues that can shorten ones life span? I would think that being a hateful, angry right winged christian could lower your immune system and cause a higher rate of sickness and disease. That would make these people immoral and unhealthy right along us "diseased" GLBT people.

These studies that the AFA is expounding on are pretty obvious that the reason for such health issues within the homosexual community can be related to outside influences, such as bigotry and predjudice. That would make anyone depressed and suicidal. To say that just because homosexuals have a high rate of depression and suicide is proof of the this is a "destructive" lifestyle is nonsense!

Many minorities and the poor are subject to high rates of sickness and death not because they are bad people. Many do not have the access to good health care and can't afford to eat a healthier diet. If we provided them with better care and food, they would live healthier lives. In the same manner, if the christian church would love and support the GLBT population, there would be less exclusion and the depression would subside. If the church would see GLBT as worthy human beings, deserving of love and having the same rights, we would have a better sense of worth in our communites. The usage of drugs would most likely subside, there would be less sexual transmitted diseases due to less casual sexual activity, gay families would be healthier and have the chance to be productive in society.

Of course there will be more disease, depression and suicide within a certain group if they are shunned. Their sense of worth is crushed and the fight for survival and acceptance will wear them down.

This is what our African American brothers and sisters have had to experience throughout history. Their struggle continues on even in this day and age. Us GLBT people are no different.

It is very sad. There are many well meaning christians out there that would like to have a better understanding of GLBT people. But these hideous reports being spread by the AFA are a brainwashing tool to keep their followers in the dark.

It reminds me of the classic myths that were taught decades ago that masturbation could cause blindness!! This was a real threat that was being spread by conservatives years ago!! This crap that the AFA is teaching is no different.

Point of interest: Heterosexuals are currently considered the highest risk group by many within the American Red Cross (their refusal to accept donations from homosexual males is an FDA imposed restriction that has not been updated in ages. Asking obnoxious questions can lead to real answers :) )). Wikipedia lists 35% of new HIV cases as being caused by heterosexual sex (last updated in 05), and the research I've seen shows numbers in gay men falling (percentage wise) while rising in heterosexuals.

Besides, medically speaking, lesbian sex is the safest sex you can have :D

I actually have a coworker whose mother and father had to go to the hospital when he had a heart attack. They had to tell the emergency people what started the problem. You guessed it, sex! My poor coworker, he made the mistake of telling us and has yet to live it down.

Maybe it's a northern lesbian thing. I LOVE my hoodies. I have 2 sweat hoodies from various family vacations, 3 lighter ones to layer and also a couple fleecies. They come as hoodies also! I love Old Navey and all their fleecies this time of year. They go on sale, two for 30$. I bet you could get a real good 10% discount with your official L card.

Ellie gets a big laugh because I am always online looking at that website and wanting to shop. She jokes that I told her I was a low maintenance femme but I love to shop all the time, even at night(online) Also, I feel at home at Old Navey, 3 of the saleswomen at mine are gay. For some reason I think the hoody thing is a global lesbian thing. We live in the south where when it is in the 40's it is FREEZING!! I know from living in Minnesota for three years growing up that you all laugh at us! Anyway, my gf who is butch is taking over our closet....WHY?? Over 50 hoodies!!! Yep, I counted them last week! It is so funny, for a butch woman she has more shoes, coats, hoodies, clothes overall than my little femme self! I have about half what she has!
