Hello, I'm Paul! I'm 24, and live in Norman, Oklahoma, and am attending graduate school at OU, concentrating in literary theory :)! I just came out of the closet in April, right before I graduated from my undergrad, which was a staunchly conservative Christian University (Oklahoma Christian University, in OKC). I've also been married for three years, but my soon-to-be-ex wife has been my biggest supporter and advocate, and we both believe we'll be doing God's will by letting one another go, as our relationship had started to become self-destructive, as there was no way we could be what we needed to be for each other.

Most of the men in my family, including my dad, are ministers in the Church of Christ, but thankfully my father has refused to pass judgment on me. I've had relatively little resistance in this entire process, and I thank the Lord for that.

I recently decided that I needed to become a more active part of the LGBT Christian community, especially after having watched "For the Bible Tells Me So," which I found incredibly moving on many levels. I am glad to have found this community, and hope that I, like my other gay brothers and sisters here, can make a difference in this world. :rainbow:

When you realize that fear and judgement have nothing to do with spiritual health your light shines through! :)

Congratuations! You have the courage to let love in!

Your Dad not not passing judgement on you? Doesn't get any better than that. And it's great that your soon to be ex-wife is supporting you. Wow! Lots of stuff happening in your life. I salute you for your openness and courage.

Again- welcome!
