CNN just reported that the Connecticut Supreme Court has declared that the States marriage laws are unconstitutional and discriminatory since civil union laws do not fully protect the rights of GLBT people.

The question now is how long the US Supreme Court justices who've been waiting to retire will wait if Obama is elected. Get a couple new justices in there who lean a little to the left, and then somebody can take the case there to force a decision on federal rights.

And if I understand right, the US Supreme Court granting federal rights would nullify all these state laws and constitutional amendments.

I posted the same thing on another thread! Yay! CT scores! I wish it was TX! Does anyone think Obama will lead the way for the nation to become more gay friendly and allow us to get married? I sure hope so.
