I did the early voting here and voted for Obama. I have heard all kinds of comments from people like, "He is going to kill all of us(with taxes)" and "He isn't even a citizen, he was born in Kenya." I don't think he was. Wasn't he born in Hawaii? I know his father was born in Kenya. But I don't think he was born there. Does anyone know?
Anyway, I told my wife on the way home from voting that I would be pleased if Obama instituted something that says that if any gay couple has been married in either Mass. or Cal. or had a civil union or gotten married in Canada, that those marriages/unions be recognized in whatever state they live in. Even if a backward state like Texas with a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, didn't institute that or strike it down, they would still have to recognize my marriage as such.
What do you think?......
