So my ride just backed out and I'm having a hard time finding somebody around Lansing that can get me back home for the holidays. I don't have the cash for a ticket home, and since I told my mom it would be cool I'm not going to let her buy me one. I'm expecting a lot of grief over this if I don't find a ride back.

So yeah, any tips on dealing with disappointed parentals and stress management?

Consider telling mom your ride fell through and that if you don't find another ride, you won't be able to get back home. She may offer the $ again, and I would consider accepting it. I'm not saying you have to, just to re-consider.
