Here's a New York Times article about the increase of gay activism across the nation since the November 4th defeats of LGBT rights. In the article it briefly mentions the planning of a "Million Gay March" in Washington for the Spring '09.
I searched the net and haven't found any other info on this. Has anybody heard anything about an '09 march?
Here's the link to the NY Times article:

I haven't heard anything, but I'm not surprised. I'm also not sure the timing is right. There's a bit of a war between the old guard (including the No on 8 people) and the newer potential leadership (mostly online, from what I've seen), and until that gets straightened out at least to some extent, I'm not sure the people would be ready for a mass effort like that.
From what I've been reading recently, though, the 1963 March that we've been taught is a (forgive the term) whitewashed version. Lots of infighting and such, which is why MLK spoke last and was limited to four minutes.
edit: A quick search turned up a current discussion thread (http://jointheimpact.wetpaint.com/thread/2097171/June+28,+2009+-+40th+anniversary+of+Stonewall+-+March+on+Washington!?offset=0&t=anon) over at JoinTheImpact. Looks like June 28th is being considered. (40th Anniversary of Stonewall)
edit again: I also see a suggestion for the day before Inauguration Day, which is a mind-boggling bad idea.

The 1963 march was also organized (by a gay man) completely on index cards. I just thouht that was really awesome. :)
