Friends,

This is interesting news:

I don't much approve of Campus Crusade, and this doesn't change my mind. I suspect this is more of the "hate the sin & love the sinner" b.s. But it is interesting that right-wing evangelicals are beginning to worry about their homophobic image.

Now, if they can get beyond worrying about their well-deserved lousy image and get real--that would be news!

I really believe, and pray, that God will raise up a man of God, or organization like I-V or CCC, and give a public/national voice to gay acceptance. Someone who will "get it" and be so convinced of the truth that he or she or they will risk their very ministry to stand up and say so. It will happen suddenly, and take us all by surprise, and we will ask, "Who said what?"

Sounds like they may be slowly coming around to more logical thinking. When the world evolves you either evolve with it or become extinct.

Signs point to yes.

"Because of the way they perceive us," said Spavin, 25. "What we wanted to do is find common ground where we can serve along side with them. ... We don't necessarily agree with their choices, because that's not part of our faith, but we still love them."

Also, AIDS/HIV =/= gay
