Greetings to everyone here on the Soulforce Community Forums. My name is Jill, and I am a supporter of Soulforce.
I actually just watched the film For the Bible Tells Me So this afternoon. Needless to say, it was difficult to watch at times. My father is gay, and I don't discriminate based on gender when choosing a mate. My father only came out to us (well, I kind of forced him out because he was living a double life and cheating on my mother) less than 8 years ago. I also have gay and trans friends whom I care about deeply. I go to my local MCC church here in Raleigh, and I just generally feel very strongly about the need to stop the oppression of LGBT people. I hope to meet people like me on this forum, and maybe learn a thing or two. It also wouldn't be bad to meet locals who I can get together with in person. Who knows?
I wish you all peace and happiness, and hope to chat with yas soon.

I am glad you had the courage and willingness to endure some very personal feelings that ultimately lead you here!

Hi Jill, Glad you joined us here. What a great thing to do for your father. I know he must be glad to have you for a daughter. Looking forward to hearing more. Blessings

Welcome to the site, Jill. It's great that you want to work to end the oppression of lgbt people. I'm a transgender person who is involved with two groups here in New York. I'm sure that you can find people in Raleigh. Good luck and keep us posted.

You're father and mother are lucky to have you, it takes a strong person to deal with that situation!
