Divorce finally final!

:) After a little more than a year my parents divorce is finally final! It wasn't the average divorce... so many details.. but it's over! We get to keep the house and end up with enough money to get by! :)

Thank you all... I'm glad it's over! I'm just hoping we don't have to stay here for another 4 years like we should... I feel trapped if I have to live in one place to long... I like moving:) I know it's weird but I almost always love a new adventure;)

I'm so sorry, Jennifer. The coming times may be tough, but you CAN get through it. Jus DON'T let them remarry. As we all know that would be adultery and they would be doomed.

Please explain to them, as kindly as is possible, that they had their day/chance/slice at making whoopie, and that now, it's gone. To remarry or re-fornicate would be "adultery" which, as we all know the Master preaches against.

I don't mean to be rude nonlemming, but I don't agree with that. I'm excited of the idea of my mom remarrying, I like having a father around, he just wasn't making good choices... so we need someone different. Anyway in my family I don't think any of us think that way. For my parents this was the 2nd marriage for both of them... I have a half brother that he had with one of this girlfirends, a half sister that he had with his first marriage, a half brother from my her first marriage, and my sister... and I really don't mind it this way...big family. In many ways I say thank you for saying that, because what I just stated made me realize just how lucky I am. I like things this way. I hope my mom gets to marry this one guy some day... I would have 3 step-sisters and a great dad. Divorce isn't as bad as so many people say. Thanks for that Nonlemming.:love:

You are quite welcome, child, and I only say it to make a point. People who would ban gay marriage do much to blaspheme what is clearly written as instruction in their favorite "how to" book. Why do we accept the double standard?

Of course your Mom should remarry if she is so inclined. But never tolerate anyone who tells you that heterosexuals have a monopoly on commitment. They clearly do not, as is evidenced by the divorce rate.
