My name is Suzanne. I am straight and married.....I support what y'all are doing. I graduated from a college that I recently learned has anti-gay policies.
It was not one of the stops on the Equality Ride, but it is a very conservative Christian school.
I found out through a friend who sent me a link about the Ride. He graduated from the same college, both of us in 1992.

Anyway, I am glad you all are doing what you're doing.

Hi Suzanne, welcome! Thanks for your support! :)

I'm married too. (If pressed to clarify, I'm bisexual). My husband is a long-time supporter of LGBT rights and causes, and I'm very proud to be married to him.

Glad you joined us! I hope you'll feel at home participating in the discussions. Welcome! :)

Hi Suzanne

Let me, lets see, 3rd, 4th, 5th whats been said. Welcome. This is one of the friendliest, supportive forums out there...

If I may ask, is there any particular reason for the interest in gay issues? Some of the topics and problems revolve around how to reach "outsiders", as most of the straight world understandably has more on its mind and our little issues don't phase them. Any insights on how to grab their attention?

Your fresh perspective is very appreciated...

My friend who told me about this site is gay and he informed me that the Christian college we both graduated from is intolerant. He worked there for 10 yrs after he graduated and could never come out to anyone there. I just think that this is very hypocritical. You've heard it ad infinitum...."What would Jesus do?" I think that the answer is probably "love one another as I have loved you." What does intolerance have to do with any of that?

Suzanne, Hi. We all want to do WWJD, and love one another. I firmly believe
that our sexuality is a gift from God, in whatever form it may come. The important thing is not so much the form that it comes in, as how lovingly that we express it. I guess I cannot say it strongly enough: "Love one another as I have loved you"

Peace and Love, BruceChris
