A documentary about gay and lesbian Muslims, "A Jihad for Love," has been made and is available online.

It's quite amazing. Hearing these stories and seeing these people made me realize how important it is to open the world's eyes to the LGBTQA experience around the world, and really brought home how tenuous gay rights movements are in some parts of the world. It also brings up some very interesting issues about different interpretations of scripture and religious practice. What do you think?

I watched "A Jihad For Love" a few days ago on the Logo website and I have to recommend it as well. Also somewhat related is "Dangerous Living: Coming Out in the Developing World" which you can view on the Logo website as well.

One of the people featured in the documentary is Arsham Parsi (http://www.arshamparsi.net/index2.html). He founded an organization called the IRanian Queer Railroad (http://www.irqr.net/) last October. Their main focus is helping to get Iranian queers granted asylum in more friendly countries.

He has his own personal website which I linked to. There's his bio and an interesting speech/story he wrote on there.
