hello! my name is xavier paolo josh mandreza but you may call me josh.:) i am a 32-year-old gay man from las pinas city, philippines and work as a customer service representative.

i actually was a member of this wonderful support group way since 2007 but i had to clean out my existing YAHOO! account since then and i totally forgot that i canceled my membership accidentally. i was glad i had another chance to sign up again.

i just wanted you to know that at least in spirit i have been an avid supporter of your crusade. i really wish i could participate on the different road trips since. here in the philippines GLBT's are somewhat treated well to the point it almost seems like a joke. but as a predominantly roman catholic country it is actually difficult to get the same type of respect compared to being straight. here we call it, "token appreciation" meaning we are being tolerated but not actually accepted. and that is what makes it so difficult at times to get through.

yet i know that GOD has always been on your side, guys. the periodic newsletters you have sent to my email from time to time keeps me really updated. and from what i have read so far it is becoming an overwhelming success. as i stated earlier how i wish i could be there to support but i guess my prayers will have to do.

just a few hours ago i have watched a program from sunday evening live with fr. benedict groechel from EWTN a catholic network. he had a guest who is a professor at a prestigious university who condemned our marriage to be immoral and even mentioned we caused the collapse of the family system by forcing catholic orphanages to allow same-sex couples to adopt a child. perhaps on their end that is their right as traditional catholics still it is very sad. i turned off the TV soon afterwards so that i won't be depressed about it.

anyways i hope i could find the time to post till then.

all my love and support in God's name,

josh:D

Welcome Josh
Don't under-estimate the power of supporting through prayer, sometimes something as small as a prayer or a few encouraging words is all a person needs to go on in this battle for equal rights.
