Hey there, my name is Joan and I'm 16 years old.
I'm still a junior in high school. I'm a Catholic church-goer. Most people chuckle when I tell them that, and I just nod my head and accept the irony.
Well, there's really nothing much to say about me other than that I'm already out to everybody including my parents. They took it surprisingly well, and our relationship is better than it ever was now.
I did struggle with my homosexuality and I prayed tons about it, sometimes wishing it'd just go away, and other times telling God to make the right decision for me because of my hopelessness. Thankfully, my friends were completely supportive of me and I learned that it's OK to be a homosexual.
Now I choose to be devoted to the Catholic Church because Jesus Christ is just that important to me that I'd undergo smirks and giggles when I reveal my religion.
Here's to hoping the rest of the world can see that God loves us too.
