There are a lot of things to love about spring? How is it treating you in your area?
How is everyone in general? The forums seem rather slow again lately. :(
Sorry, I thought I posted a poll with this. I have no idea what happened. Please tell us your favorite thing about spring. :flower:

Why was this worse than other years?
Warmer weather sounds like an very good reason to me. :)
I love spring because it's warmer, because there's sun (sometimes), the flowers, but mostly because after spring comes summer!

It wasn't a worse winter, but I think I'm getting old enough to realize I have options or something. I just decided this year that I seriously hate the cold, and I've really only got one more winter in me in this city.

I would suggest moving to my area, which is beautiful... but winter is about 8 months long.:lol:
Where would you like to be living?

I like tree blossoms like dogwoods. And I like honeybees.

Flowers, green grass, sunshine. No more snow or ice. That sums it up for me.

I like the warmer weather and the longer hours of daylight. Around here, the depths of winter mean that it's dark when you go to work and dark when you go home from work.
However, I can live with the cold weather. In my part of the world (Canadian prairies), we get 40-below cold spells. 40-below is very important because that's where Fahrenheit and Celsius are at the same point on the thermometer. The upside of having these cold winters is that we don't get ice storms and we don't get the wet heavy snow that snaps tree limbs and power lines. Yes, I freeze my butt off when I have to go outside, but I also have a reasonable assurance that when I get to my destination, the heat and power are going to be on.
Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend!

Spring bird migration and the anticipation of possible rarities popping up! Oh and my irises in bloom.

Spring reminds me that plants and trees are budding from the winter hibernation. It reminds me of my budding as a trans-gender person. It was dormant withing me until one spring the flowers blossomed.

:) I like the warm weather mostly, because I am always complaining about being cold. I like watching the flowers on my lilac bushes, which are right outside my bedroom window, bloom, and then smelling them when a light breeze blows in through my window. I like wearing shorts and going barefoot. I look forward to the return of the hummingbirds, which always happens in April where I live. And I like being able to open my bedroom window and allowing in fresh, clean air without it getting cold. Spring is nice because the weather isn't too hot, but it usually isn't too chilly, either.:)

:) Right now, however, it is a bit chilly outside because of a light rain that fell a little while ago. The hummingbirds are swarming the lilac bushes like crazy, though. They're such cute little things, I wish I could hold one in my hand or on my finger. Anyway, I'm glad you liked my image of spring. It was a joy to write. :)

Tomatoes in May! Absurd. Unnatural! Abomination!
But be that as it may... my favorite thing about (EARLY) Spring is the smell of dirt. Seriously, after a whole Winter of no outdoor smells, the smell of thawing mud is pure, distilled, HOPE.

 I completely agree with that! The smell of dirt awesome at the beginning of spring, even through the summer actually. It does represent nice weather and here we don't get enough of that! Grass is another one, smells like spring (only down side of that one is allergies, but oh well)!
