Hello,
My name is Randy Baltimore and this is my first post. I just signed up the other day. I heard about your group from seeing an episode of CNN about the 11 year old boy who hung himself. How heartbreaking! I am seeking people to talk to . I've lived behind closed doors for a long time. I am still struggling with a lot of things right now in my life including my homosexual feelings. I kind of go back and forth with it. I belive God loves me just the way I am but many times I get thrown off course when I keep hearing churches condemn us. Anyway I guess that's all for right now. Hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks. Pray for me please.

You should find plenty of support here. :rainbow:

I'm over the churches condemning us, but it's still bothersome. And I love Christian music, it's so inspiring, but there's always that thought that much of the audience and many of the musicians are feeding into the whole anti-gay message (in "love" of course).

It's tragic, but just remember that we're political pawns in a larger power-grab scheme. There's nothing "morally" wrong with same-sex attractions. And believe me, I have asked the anti-gays DOZENS of times as to how same-sex attraction is a moral issue and I have yet to receive an answer.

There are many resources and threads on this site, so please don't hesitate to ask specific questions.

You may want to start here:
What the Bible Says - And Doesn't Say - About Homosexuality (http://www.soulforce.org/article/homosexuality-bible)

And here:
What the Science Says - And Doesn't Say - About Homosexuality (http://www.soulforce.org/article/homosexuality-science)

You can read those online (or print them out). And don't forget, there's tons more resources in the threads, and a search feature as well.

Randy- Welcome to Soulforce.

Many here have been where you are now. I know I have been.

At first it doesn't seem like an easy walk. And it isn't. It can seem like everything and everyone is against one. This is in the past. The future? If you are able to find supportive friends, much can change.

I hope you will avail yourself of the many threads on this site where you might have questions. A little knowledge can be quite liberating.

That said, it sounds like you know yourself, and have made a huge stride in accepting yourself. That's great. And the first step in your journey. It makes everything else so much easier.

Wishing you all good things.

Daniel

I don't have much knowledge but would like to gain & share whatever i have. As everybody knows that nowadays forums are the best source of Knowledge, and through forums we can learn a lot.
