Hi. I have no idea how to start this message. I guess how I came onto the website and who I am... I just got finished watching Equality U, and it was one of the most powerful documentaries I have ever seen. I am truly inspired by the work of these young people. I cried many times.
This being said, I am Samantha. I live in Colorado and have very recently began coming out to my Catholic family and friends. I attended Catholic schools until College, where I went to a State university. My studies were in Sociology with a Family Studies emphasis and a minor in Women's Studies. I graduated last May and still work in the restaurant buisness, but am currently looking for work in a non-profit setting. I have no idea how this website works, belong to no other social networking site, (excluding Facebook), participate in no GLBT activities, and might have lived my life straight forever had it not been for the woman I am currently with. I am very lost in my life right now, but I was just so inspired by the documentary that I felt I needed to do more research, and here I am. I welcome any responses, as I have pretty much no idea what I am doing here
Thanks for reading.
Sam

Thank you so much! I am still getting orientated with the site, but it seems great so far.

Glad you are here. Sometimes I join in on blogs and mostly I just read them. Feel free to explore every inch of this place. I especially liked the list of recommended books to read. For me that was the best place to start.

Welcome Sam

I haven't seen Equality U yet but I want to even more now.

The site isn't too complicated, feel free to jump into any of the conversations and come back and ask questions if you need any help. :) I look forward to seeing you around the forums.
