As you can see, my username is justanotherpagan and yes, I am. If you do not already realize it, it is entirely possible to be a Pagan and a person of faith. I should know since that is what I am. :) I do not believe in denigrating others religions nor in attempting to proselytize or convert anyone to mine. I have come here to learn more about soul force and hopefully to meet some like minded people.
I am 47 year old single mother of one, who was raised fundamental Baptist from birth to the age of 16. At that time I began a spiritual journey of discovery that has lead me to many way-stations along the path. I don't know if it is of any interest or even pertinent, but I identify as somewhere between straight and bi. (Confusing perhaps, but trust me somehow for me it works quite happily.)
I hope to make some new friends here and perhaps learn more about the mission of soul force as it applies to the day to day and how I can help.

I've been the horn-sprouting hoof-stompin' pagan for a cupla years here on soulforce. Actually once I explained that being a pagan really only means following the spiritual roots of pre-Roman Europe, which are strongly nature-based, the reception has been very warm and supportive.
My focus has broadened to include Buddhist philosphy and meditation. These have been practices I have adopted to blend with and compliment the sexually enhanced spirituality of Druidic tradition. Parallels with Christ's teaching frequently come up but to avoid distractions such as self-judgement and others I keep my focus on the first two spiritual paradigms
The result is spiritual discoveries and wonder that I have missed for decades.
Glad to to have you here!!
I would like to hear more of your discoveries!

I was raised Catholic, and followed along until about 16, like you, and then took a jaunt outside the confines of religion, and never went back---thank God!
The understanding of a consciousness beyond myself is much more personal these days.

Welcome! All the pagans are starting to add up now!:D
I personally am more Buddist leaning but have a definate diest streak I think. I have a hard time thinking that there is only one God and he is male, that is MY problem! We have all types of religions here and it is good to question yourself from time to time.

Hi Pagan and welcome to the site. I'm somewhere between a crossdresser and a transsexual.

I too was raised Catholic, went to Catholic private school from K thru 12. As soon as I graduated high school I left the church. Within the last year or so, I have found a home at the United Church of Christ. It just seems to make more sense to me!

That sort of thing interests the hell out of me. I have an avid curiosity for people's choice in religion/spirituality/agnosticism/atheism, unless they don't have a legitimate reason for choosing it (as in, it's just a fad to them). And I am sure you will find many enjoyable conversations here--a very diverse bunch, this is!

Thank you all for such a lovely, warm welcome. I apologize for not answering sooner, but computer issues kept me offline. I either need a geek or a priest to administer last rights as my poor old system seems to be nearing that great blue screen of death. I am however happy to report that the 'new computer fund' is almost enough to replace it with at least a refurbished model. :)
What little time I had to read over the forums before it began acting up again I sensed a real community here and am looking forward to getting involved. Thank you all again for the welcome and feel free to PM me anytime to chat one on one.
we all are differnent in this world...thats what keeps the world spinning round and round. Everyone has their own opinions. Love though is what keeps it all together.
Love is what you'll find here. :)
