Hi everyone from South Carolina. I know, I know, but don't feel sorry for me because I don't know any better. South Carolina is the only place I've ever lived. It's not completely as bad as its reputation but it is in need of great improvement as far as bigotry and hate goes.
Im a 44 year old man who knew nothing about Soulforce until I saw "For the Bible Tells Me So" 5 months ago. Just the other night, I watched "Ask Not" on PBS' Independent Lens and have now become convinced that I would love to be a part of Soulforce in some capacity.
I am currently a single guy, not by choice but by tragedy. My partner of 15 years and best friend for over 20, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in September 2006. Let me tell you now, if you are buying property with your same sex partner be very sure that the paperwork is drawn up as a Survivorship. Had we not done this I might well have been kicked out of our house that we alone had purchased and lived in together.
