I graduated from Randolph-Macon College in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. I worked in the retail industry for JCPenney, and Proffitt-Parisian for 30 years in various management positions. In 1996, I became an international business consultant. As a business consultant, I downsized and liquidated various department stores. I formed De Sube Business Consulting, focusing on retail sales, human resources and marketing. In May 2006, the Board of Directors of New Life MCC allowed me as a member to create and became the facilitator of New Life Transgender Outreach, NLTO, a ministry and Transgender support group within New Life MCC of Hampton Roads. NLTO has reached out to many Transgender people and allies through events such as the Hampton Roads Transgender Day of Remembrance. I am currently devoting my time to my passion of being a Transgender activist, member of Trans Rights of Virginia, and Equality Virginia’s Transgender Caucus. I was the co organizer of the 2008 Standing United: Becoming More Inclusive Conference at Old Dominion University.
