Last Sunday, about 300,000 lgbt people and their allies took the the streets in DC. I'm happy to say that we were able to meet up and either reconnect with others, or meet face to face for the first time.
enjoy the pics. the first is tdogg and keltic, the second is MattAlgren, keltic, tdogg and VanessaWhite

It was FANTASTIC!!!! Steve and I have been in each other's company before, but getting to meet Tdogg in person, and Matt, who I didn't even know would be there, was amazing. Just being together at this historic event made it even more meaningful. And, I cherished it even more because Soulforce is where I first began to get motivated into action for full equality.
All will come to pass, I am sure of it. The Reitan's were there, marching as well. It was just tremendous!:love::love:

Yay, proof that I was there! I managed to make it through the entire weekend without a single picture of myself. But Keltic's hubby took care of that, bless him!
BTW, after I left you guys, I wandered over toward the middle of the action and actually had a chance to speak to Rev. Troy Perry. Shook his hand. Got a little excited, even. I didn't see the Reitans, though. Rats.
I also met Rev. Irene Monroe (she was in For the Bible Tells Me So) Friday night at a panel discussion. In all seriousness, I think she's one of the most important theologians of our time. Truly.
It was great meeting you all!Maybe next time I'll be partnered up too, just like every other person there. (HAHA No I won't because of all this low self esteem buried in the pit of my belly!)

It would have been really cool to be there with all of youse. Why don't they ever have these gatherings in the Southern Colorado/Northern New Mexico area?

We met as we were leaving, Daniel Choi, and his partner as they were leaving the march, holding hands. It was totally awesome.......

The NEM was fantastic. Only surpassed by finally meeting Keltic and his cool hubby, Matt and Vanessa. They are all just as wonderful in person as they are on here. We had a great march and a great time. Very inspiring!! :D
Matt, you will so meet the man of your dreams. One who appreciates you and your fine qualities. It will probably happen when you least expect in, in the place you least expect to meet him. As for your insecurities - toss them aside my friend. Being confident will make you irresistible. ;)
Lt. Choi is going to be at Camp Courage in Sacramento Nov 7 - 8, which I am attending. I'm stoked! Our friend RT got a great pic of him at Arlington Cemetery and she got to shake his hand. I didn't quite get that close. But the pic I got of Lady Gaga in front of a rainbow flag is smokin'!!! She actually marched!

Sounds great, tdogg. Is there a lot of activism in Sacramento?

Yeah, he introduced me to his boyfriend.
Though the feeling would be mutual. (Not that I'm that picky...)
