My name is Ash and I found Soulforce through an email I received about the anti-heterosexism conference a few months ago.

I have a background as a social worker and tele-counsellor for people with gambling concerns, drug and alcohol problems and mental health issues. I have worked as a community mental health clinician with people who have severe and enduring mental health diagnoses and also practised extensively in counselling and community work with gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer and transgender communities. I also write stories about gay subjects.

In my online therapy practice I work as a counsellor and therapist with a range of problems as well as with goals, motivation and generally making changes in life. My practice is informed by narrative therapy and collaborative approaches to therapy and I have trained in related skills though the Dulwich Centre in Adelaide, Australia.

More information can be found on my website.

The values promoted by Soulforce - resisting injustice and practising non-violence - align with my own values. I hope to make connections with other like minded people and learn from what I read and share on the site.

Thanks for the opportunity to join.

Ash.
