LA Times (http://www.latimes.com/news/nation-and-world/la-na-court-christians8-2009dec08,0,6381342.story):UC Hastings College of Law refused to officially recognize the Christian Legal Society because it refused to admit gays and lesbians...

...Five years ago however, the new leaders of the CLS [Christian Legal Society] chapter at Hastings declared they would not agree to accept gay or lesbian students or others who do not adhere to traditional Christian beliefs...

...In its suit, the CLS contended it was unconstitutional for a state-funded law school to deny official recognition to a religious group because of its "core religious viewpoints."

It should be noted that the ADF is running this CLS “we’re being persecuted” show:

Alliance Defense Fund (http://www.alliancedefensefund.org/news/pressrelease.aspx?cid=5149): Attorneys with the Christian Legal Society (http://www.clsnet.org/center/updates/press-release-us-supreme-court-agrees-hear-lawsuit-against-uc-hastings) and the Alliance Defense Fund Center for Academic Freedom represent a student chapter of CLS, which Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco refused to recognize because the group requires all of its officers and voting members to subscribe to its basic Christian beliefs

Some of the ADF’s founders (http://www.alliancedefensefund.org/about/History/Founders.aspx) include James Dobson and the late James Kennedy. And yes, that is the legal mentality behind the organization: defend the hatred of gays, make abortion illegal (as opposed to reducing it), and destroy the separation of church and state.

As I see it, this is just another case that's built on the premise that same-sex attraction is merely a “behavior.”

In their minds, they’re not discriminating against gays and lesbians, they’re discriminating against heterosexuals who engage in---or identify with---homosexual-sex. Of course, they don't have the guts to say it that way.

I’m not passing judgment on the case yet, but…

From the KKK FAQ section (http://www.kkk.bz/faq.htm):

We simply believe that the United States of America was founded as a white Christian nation.

Let’s see the ADF take that case to the Supreme Court.
