Apparently in North Carolina you must believe in a god to hold public office. Non-believers not allowed.

That is completely asinine. That is similar to the discrimination Christians have faced for years...you would think that we would be more open to not discriminating against those who don't believe in God. Can't we learn from our own experiences? This is supposed to be a free nation...where did that go?:confused:

It could just be a regional or cultural thing but many Christians here discriminate against those that have different ideas about God. Are Christians not doing as they would be done by?

In our faith we say that the universe responds by corresponding. (exactly, every time. There is no-one sitting there saying "Oh, she or he didn't mean that.")

I agree, I am just saying that I feel that we as Christians should learn from the past and realize that noone deserves to be discriminated against. I may not agree with atheism, but I respect the decisions of those who are athiest. I feel called by God to minister to them, but not to discriminate against them.

Cause and effect. Object and reflection. Thought and manifestation. It depends on if one believes in objective and subjective thought. And that objective can become subjective.

It's one mind. I'd have to say it's the part that functions inductively. The part that can work backwards from effect to cause. Or the conscious part. The subconscious or subjective part functions deductively and accepts everything in it as true. It's how an idea becomes a thing. An analogy can be found in hypnosis. The objective part is temporarily suppressed by the cooperation of the one being hypnotized. Changes don't become permanent unless you consciously want them to. Then the subjective accepts this as true and acts accordingly.

We believe that the universe functions subjectively. Warm and fuzzy or cold and indifferent are entirely up to the individual. It reciprocates in kind. We call it user friendly.
