It is interesting to me that you can only move forward in time, and can only look backwards through it.

Such is life. The past can't be changed. Dwelling on our shortcomings and failings will blind us to the opportunities that are ahead.

It would me awesome if we could actually time travel. I mean, just think of all the people we could meet and ask questions of! I really don't get the whole Quantum Theory, and Einstein kinda laid the foundation for it, so I would so love to talk to him, becuase I am certain that I would understand it better if I could just get the basics down. Then there is Ghandi and Jesus, wow to ask qustions and learn at their feet, how cool is that?
On the other hand, could time get messed up if I did go back and ask the wrong quesiton at the wrong time? hmmmm we'll probably never know.

Interesting subject.
Remember the 1985 movie "Back to the future?" At the beginning of the movie Doc Brown was planning to use his plutonium-powered DeLorean to travel 25 years into the future. The year he was traveling to was 2010.
Well, we've all just landed in 2010. Looks like time travel is possible even without a DeLorean.

The primary theory behind time travel is that if you leave our time and go into the past to change it, what you would basically end up doing is removing yourself from our timeline, and placing yourself into a different time line. As such the 'grandfather paradox' would be impossible. But you're right, we probably will never get the opportunity to find out.
One thing that is interesting. If you could travel back in time and go watch them build the pyramids, and then returned to our time and told everyone how it was done most scholars would say you have no idea what you are talking about and scoff at what you said.

So there may be an infinite number of realities. That certainly gives God a lot to deal with. I wonder if the other realities are as troublesome as this one.
Maybe it is possible to move around in time. At one time in history all the forces and all the dimensions could have been been unified into one. Maybe time wasn't unidirectional at that point. I think maybe if we could get back to the time of the Big Band and point of creation where mass, space, energy and time are infinite and combined, we would find that that infinity is God.
This also makes me think of the Twilight Zone episode where the Adolph Hitler's nursemaid is shown the future. She cannot allow the child to live so she kills the baby and herself. Unfortunately she kills the wrong child and (it is her child I believe) grows up becomes the historical Adolph Hitler.

I'd like to go back before the big bang when there was no time. Then I could sleep all day and not feel guilty.

I'm with you there. I would not have to be rushing off to work this morning....
