I can only believe this man still lives because he repels...in a good way.

I can only believe this man still lives because he repels...in a good way.

I caught his act on Rachel Maddow this evening. Oh.....my.....god... And to think I used to admire the man when I was in my teens.

The zingers (and by that I mean facts not superstition) were flying on Maddow tonight from our ambassador to Haiti. He recounted how the uprising that resulted in liberation from the French also gave the the United States the Louisiana Purchase as well as changed South America.

If the devil was involved, we- the US- danced with him. Just goes to show that Pat knows little of history, which means he is determined to repeat his sorry past.

I normally go to Wonkette for snark overlying truth (such is my political mindset), but what I got tonight is...well, just that. It starts out snarky (at Pat Robertson's expense), but quickly gets very, very real:

I'd be interested in others who can corroborate this.

But it certainly has the ring of truth, more so than than the once-upon-a-time wannabe President who also famously declared during his campaign that JC would stop any missiles entering US airspace.

Debt can kill people and countries, but most of all: hope.

By the title and conversation, I would assume you believe Pat Robertson is the worst person on the planet, but that dubious distinction goes to George W Bush.

Now, now, there's plenty of room on the "TRULY terrible human beings" list; no need to argue.

...and they're still breathing. It's evidence to me that God never stops being Love. Even when we're not. I'm not saying that some aren't professional a-holes. Hating hate doesn't work any better than it sounds like it would.

It's so easy to be so angry, isn't it? (I sure am angry.)

The world's heart is broken by what happened and this guy pours acid on the wound with his words.

(now that's some dramatic language...)

What's the non-violent approach to what Pat Robertson said? What are your thoughts?

My answer is in your signature.

I have colleagues in Haiti. I'm looking at one right now. Ill tempered queens give him crap for not being out enough. (I work nights.) There's no pleasing some people.

A response in my own words.
