Hello All,

I am an ex-Southern Baptist, now Unitarian seminary student in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and am working on the two book projects mentioned below. I am looking for contributors to either project. Please PM me if interested.

I am interested in compiling a first book, provisionally entitled Those Queer Southern Baptists. Contributors would need to be current members of a Southern Baptist church, and authorial anonymity would be respected.

I am looking for 12-15 essays, 2000-4000 words in length about your understanding of your sexual identity, how it plays a part in your faith, and why you've chosen to remain Southern Baptist. I think this will make for a fascinating book, and it will be made available through Amazon. Please PM me if you're interested.

The second project will be the compilation and editing a book of essays on the theme, "The Queer Jesus." By "The Queer Jesus," I mean for the essays to be written from the points of view of queer Christians and how Jesus is seen through queer eyes. What makes Jesus significant to you specifically as a queer Lord, Savior, example, etc?

Each essay should be between 3000-4000 words, and should include a short biography of the author and a title. Once compiled and edited, the book will be listed for sale at Amazon. I believe this project has the potential for mass appeal, not only in the queer Christian community, but in the larger queer studies community.

If you would like to submit an essay for consideration, please feel free to email or PM me.

Peace,
Daniel
