I had a bad allergic reaction to haricot verts that I ate. I broke out in hives.
It's really bugging me that none of the captains or leaders of the event stayed with me to make sure that I didn't die. They all left and I was the last person to leave the building. They were all males. Would a female have stayed with me to make sure that I was okay? They should have stayed with me for about 15 minutes to make sure that I didn't pass out and that I could breath. All that they had to do was walk me to the subway and in that time, if I got to the subway, I probably would have been okay and they could have gone home after they at least got me to the subway.
People do die from allergic reactions. I think what kills people is when their breathing passages swell up and they can't breath. I told them that I had never had that reaction before. I thank God that I had Benadryl on me and I believe that that really helped me.
Don't ever leave anyone that's having an allergic reaction to something!
