Things have been seriously bad for LGBT folk in Nigeria (under Sharia, law for instance) but now the government there is taking steps to make things significantly worse. Even allies can get a 5 year prison sentence under the new legislation moving along. Hopefully the link above works and you can read all the details there. There is also an "action" link on that page, so you can add your signature to Amnesty's letter protesting the new legislation.

Follow the link in the OP above. Scroll ALL THE WAY down the page, at the very bottom there is a "take action" link - click on that. It opens to a letter that you can submit via webform and Amnesty International will deliver the letter of protest to the appropriate officials in Nigeria.
