Love this. I totally get it. I've been a very actiive volunteer in the New Democratic Party in Canada for over 30 years. I do it because I love the feeling of being part of being part of something bigger than myself and contributing to a cause.

My favorite motto is, "What we desire for ourselves, we wish for all."

I'll never be a candidate or campaign manager, but I can do a lot of "gopher" work such as taking minutes, data entry and stuffing envelopes so that the organizers can get on with organizing.
