Hi everyone, my name is Lisa, I am 44, and after 2 failed marriages I decided it was time to follow the feelings I have had since I was a child. Since coming out, my mother has disowned me, my siblings talk to me, but I am not allowed to take their children anywhere or have them over to my house. My father has accepted me as I am and supports me.

I am so glad I found this place. I have been a christian since I was a teenager, but my mother tells me that I couldn't be a christian living this lifestyle. I denied these feelings my whole life. Since facing the fact that I am a lesbian, I have never been happier and I am finally at peace with myself and my relationship with God.

I am looking forward in getting to know everyone here :)

Hi Lisa and welcome to Soulforce. I'm very happy that you are at peace with your sexuality and that you are a Christian. Your father seems like a cool guy. Just pray for the rest of your family.

Welcome to Soulforce. As a not yet licensed New Thought minister I had what I would call a huge demonstration of faith or answer to prayer that I had no idea was coming. It was a combination of things. CNN did a four part series on the harms of Reparative Therapy and Box Turtle Bulletin had the series on What Little Boys are Made of. Thank you God and whoever you work through whether they know it or not.

New Thought did not exactly re-invent the wheel. Our work is with getting the wheel that already is turning in the same direction.
