My name is Jennifer. I am 38 years young. I live in a small town in Mississippi-please don't hold that againt me! I have always struggled with reconciling religion and my sexual orientation. In fact, I am still struggling considering the fact that my Mom has gotten back into church and thinks of my "lifestyle" as a choice.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.

Hi Jennifer and welcome to Soulforce.I'm new around here too.I'm a mum to a lesbian daughter aged nearly 18 and we come from an evangelical christian background.I agree it is difficult to reconcile the two.At the moment she seems to feel that it is an either or choice and she is choosing the lesbian part so her interest in christian things has waned sadly.Anyway, welcome.
