I'm glad to find this forum, and to be a part of a community that wants to stand up for a world of lovers.

We don't get alot of support for being quiet, and tenderness is usually seen as weak. I've spent alot of years teaching people that it's ok to be still and quiet down. Publishing poetry and music that soothes and celebrates nature gave me access to a warm community. I've seen it grow into a presence that makes people want to stand up and be heard.

Peace is dynamic, and the steps we take to know what lies at the deep core makes us burn so much brighter together. Cultivating courage isn't always an obvious thing. My lover Mariah and I will be marching with Soulforce for some of the miles between Denver and Colorado Springs. The School for Wonder is always evolving, keeping us in service to the unseen. We would love to hear from you.

Cheers,

Welcome, Jesse.

Are you an introvert, by any chance? I've noticed that introverts seem to have an easier time with stillness and quiet than many of the extroverts I know.

Lydia, I'm not an introvert, but I love what happens when I'm noticing that everything rises up from stillness. I have a private soul, but have been a performing songwriter and teacher in the public for years. I've done alot of community organizing, and I love people. They energize me.

I notice that alot of us get socialized to use our voices to fight. Being heard doesn't have to mean yelling for me anymore, and it took me a long time to unlearn that family trait. How about you?
