so tonight i was watching VH1 and the name of the show was shortest celebrity marriages. the more i watched it the more angry i became at the fact that britney spears can marry some guy when she's drunk, and 55 hours later divorce him....people in the glbt community have been fighting for years to have the right to get legally married. people like spears can abuse such a beautiful privilage........i dunno what i'm really tryin to get at, but it just makes me upset.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Marriage in this country is a joke. Straight people are not the shining example of what marriage should be. To listen to Pat Robertson and others like him, you would think every man/woman union is holy and blessed of God. To make such stupid generalizations by these people is wholly based on fear and prejudice. :mad:

And from what I read on the cover of People she has a wonderful marriage now
