Traveling, and most likely not finding internet where we are headed next (tho I may be pleasantly surprised.)

I have begun skimming over some of the new and continuing richly informed threads on here and can hardly wait to delve in and read our new member's story about coming out in Kansas, and all the recent thoughts from our Liberal Crozier, just to name two.

I've belonged to 4 or 5 internet fora and this is the ONLY forum where I feel like I know everyone (though not in "real" life, I feel I know who each personality and who every heart is, inside) and who I think about during the day the same way I might think of my other, 3-dimensional friends. Y'all are the best and the greatest.

Hugs and love to all of you, old friends and newbies alike. My thoughts continue to be with Crozier as he undergoes the chemo (you are teaching me to appreciate every moment of feeling well and at ease), and with those who are traveling often, or for the SF action in Colorado. And to all of you.

Will miss ya. Hugs up fer grabs!

Zerbster: So where are you off to this time/tell us when you get back? An early and extended 4th of July weekend? A place with NO internet?? :disagree: Hey, have a wonderful time, and remember, part of the reason that you have such 3-dimensional friends is that you do such a good job of presenting your own dimensions. :agree: :agree: :agree:

Peace, Love, and less expensive gas, BruceChris

Teehee! Ya'll are great! BC ya crack me up! :D

Main thing right now is, we have been staying at an old fashioned hotel. There IS internet, I'm sitting in the lobby 2 feet from the reception desk. But we can't access it in our room, so I havta wait for a time when we aren't out seeing the sights, and there is no one waiting to get online after me. ;)

Anyway, we are having a splendid time! Gas prices, hmm, relatively steep, but luckily, we have been able to garage the car for 2 days and rely on walking, well and some ferry rides.

Fwiw y'all, we're in British Colombia. A first visit for either of us, and my desert-fried brain is reeling at the sight of so much green stuff and so many flowers of the non-cactus variety. :D :) :)

Hey!

We're in Seattle today.:) Being lazy & sitting in the hotel room (tired from a week of travel.)

At some point soon we are going to do tourist-y things, like the space needle and pike's place.

Seeya'll again soon!

I've only visited your fair land once, and hopefully will again. And Seattle was an unexpected surprise. Its so friendly and pretty. There's a bookshop called "Elliot Bay Books" somewhere in the Pioneer Square district, with a cafe in the basement, that I still dream about...
Have fun and give my regards to the Needle! Ah Seattle....

Hey Zerb and hubby: Enjoy Seattle!! I cannot wait to hear about your travels there, because I have never been there. The closest to there I have been is Eugene, OR which is not really that close, but closer than PA!! LOL Have a great time, and see you back here whenever you can check in. Be safe in your travelling. Vanessa

Hey Jen! So, WHERE is this book store?

We wandered briefly through Pikes Place today. I ate the most amazing peach I've ever consumed in my entire life! (Ya hafta understand that everyplace I've lived before, the peaches one can get all taste like styrofoam.)

Other than that, we have been feeling sleepy and lazy, so we lounged about the hotel. We are right downtown (I think.) I am looking right now at severla skyscrapers, and lit up signs for Macys, and Bed Bath & Beyond.

We were going to wander over to the needle-thingy today, but we felt lazy. Hubby played computer games while I splashed around the hotel pool. So, we will check out the needle-thingy tomorrow, I suppose. Tho what hubby really really wants to do is take a ferry to a park? Olympic? or something like that.

Oh hey - I'll give a wave to Seattle for ya, Voyager! Hopefully will get to check out that bookstore, we're both in danger of spending a lot of $ on books.

Vanessa, thanks for the well-wishes! We've had a great time so far.

Thanks Jen. We ended up not going to the bookstore, but we had a nice time today at the Needle and strolling around. Had a sumptuous dinner and just got back to the room.

Thanks to all those who sent their happy-making wishes for this vacay. We've had the best time!
