Mia Rocks, everybody!
I missed my flight at JFK airport yesterday and wanted to cry. I was on standby for a flight today, and Mia was so nice. I asker her if she'd be willing to drive to Secaucus Junction at 6:00 am. She graciously agreed, and got up at the butt-crack of dawn. Instead of simply going to the train station, she drove the WHOLE WAY to JFK airport. For those of you who don't know, it's a pain to get anywhere in New York via car, especially the airport. YAY for good-hearted MIA!
Angel missed his flight, too, so he was able to make his standby flight because of awesome Mia, who drove the WHOLE WAY.
You all need to meet her in person; she's so cool. I'm so glad to have been able to talk to her for even a short time.

Just for background, New York is where a lot of Soulforce stuff is happening right now. First of all, 21 people who got arrested at West Point during the Equality Ride had a hearing. That went well, but no deal has been made with the prosecutor yet....
Mia is there for the Military Recruitment Center sit-in planning. :)
