I thought I would post this letter and picture we are sending to Friends of John Kerry.

July 8, 2006
Dear John Kerry,
We are Jamie McDaniel and Chris Noble, a same-gender couple living in Lexington, Kentucky. We plan on getting married in 2007.
One of your friends called us last week. She told us about how Democrats were standing up for our values and asked for a pledge to Friends of John Kerry. She was very nice, but we had to tell her that we could not financially support the Democratic Party again until Democrats started to take a stronger stand regarding equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Americans like us.
We shared with your caller that we still have that John Kerry bumper sticker on our car from 2004. She shared with us that she had a family member who was lesbian. She talked us into giving a “good faith” donation of $25 and we agreed.
Regarding GLBT people, leading Democrats should be firm in saying Equality IS a moral value.
Blessings,
Jamie McDaniel and Chris Noble

Marriage in 2007 - since I know that this does not mean KY :D , I assume it could be in my Canada. Is it so?
IF it is, and you are going to have Brent Hawkes (Can.) with Mel White (USC)perform the wedding at MCC Toronto - let us know. By Canadian law, you must have Brent present performing the principal part of the ceremony and sign the provincial licence documents.
YOU ARE PROMISED OUR ATTENDANCE AS A FAMILY REGARDLESS OF WHERE IT IS....THE THREE OF US.......AND AN EPISCOPAL BLESSING.....IF YOU WOULD LIKE IT.

Wow, Liberal Crozier, you Canadians are truly charming.
Or maybe it's just you gay Episcopalian bishops who are so delightful! :rainbow::love:
Anyhow, thank you! It will likely be in Kentucky, however, hopefully with a UCC pastor friend presiding. However if another San Francisco type thing happens between now and then....

My dear brothers in Christ,
Yes, I guess " scarlet fever " was the least malevolent of my diseases.
If " charming" is defined as making my postscript comments, it is just that my chemo has not yet affected my eyesight. You exude both the love you have for each other, extending out to others.

Well, UCC - whether it spells the United Church of Christ in the USA or the United Church of Canada - it spells gay-affirming Christianity.
KY is beautiful, yet we have been to Louisville and not Lexington so far. We still will attend your commitment ceremony of spiritual significance. And if, of course, the San Francisco miracle occurs, or you find a mental reservation that allows you to marry legally in MA, or if you want to join many of your fellow citizens and obtain full and legal marriage in Canada, let me know. Yes, * legal while you are on our soil, to be sure
Regardless, we three will be there. You can count on our promises.
