Hello, my name is Josh from SE Ohio. I'm a substitute teacher and a grad student. For obvious reasons, I am closeted within the local area. Mel's book, Stranger at the Gate, helped to see I am not alone, and nothing is wrong w/ me. Thank you for Mr. White.

Hey Josh, no need to jump out of the closet to everyone you meet. I understand your need for privacy as you work in teaching situations. I was afraid it would be a problem for me as a public school teacher. As it turns out, there have been no problems at all and I've been out for 2 years. I hope someday you can be in a place that you'll feel comfortable being out, and that others will respond as people have responded to me.
