Hi! I'm Maddy from Virginia Tech and I've been a Soulforce member since the Direct Action at Liberty last Spring. I've really had an amazing experience with this organization. Personally, I'm straight but as everyone knows I'm a HUGE ally (read: hag). I think Soulforce is one of the most meaningful things I've done with my short life thus far.

Oh yeah, and I've been on both Equality Rides so far. I wish I could go on the big one next year, but I can't take too much time out of my studies if I ever want to graduate. :p

I almost never hear this term spoken in a derogatory way.

I heard a girl get offended when one of my guys called me a fag hag. She said, "We prefer the term 'fruit flies.'" I personally like the traditional label.

Honestly, if it were me I think I would much rather be called a "hag" than a "fruit fly". That just sounds unpleasant.
