Soulforce Community Forums - Time to get busy

I have said that 2009 is a pivotal year for glbt people. The voices of transgender people have been heard loud and clear in the past few years. I'm happy with the inaguaration but we, the people, will need to get busy. I'm thankful to Souforce for being on the frontlines of the fight for equality.

I am involved with a grassroots organization to create independent media to speak to concerns of poor and working people. Something similar is needed for lgbt folks. We need to be involved in something that will affect change for the masses. Protest, educate youself on the law and the constitution, seak with your leaders in government, schools, and community. If the need arises, begin a grassroots organization where you are. I do not want to be afterthought when 2010 comes.

We, the people, can affect change.
