Gays are "greatest threat to America"

From the Salt Lake City Tribune:

"He called the gay-rights movement 'probably the greatest threat to America,' likened gay activists to Muslim radicals and dubbed same-sex relationships 'abominations.' Now Sen. Chris Buttars finds himself in a familiar place: under fire amid demands he step down."

Isn't amazing we still have people like this in public office? This guy should be a joke, not a public official. The usual garbage -- and hopefully, we have enough real problems going on right now that more people will see through what a ridiculous cloud of smoke he is putting out there.

Amazing

Gays the "greatest threat to America?" Really. Wonder what kind of threat I would be if I told him that I'm transgender? :D Sen. Buttahs should look at all the corruption and greed that threatens to topple the economy.

All through history minorities are targeted when there a downturn in the economy. What they're saying is that we don't have the right to work, marry, and raise our families. When I hear comments like this it just shows the ignorance of that person.

And all this time I thought that closed minds and anal retentive people wee the greatest treat to America.

Seems to me Sen Buttah (notice he has a butt in his name, coincidence? I think not!) Is getting a bit too old to be a senator if he can't even hold his tongue and represent all of his constiuents instead of the radical right. Either that or he has some Dementia going on........

Gays The Greatest Threat To America? Hmmm!

:) Gee, and I thought social injustice and intolerance were our greatest threats. Guess I was wrong, huh? The Religious Right, you gotta love 'em! By the way, I'm enjoying the humor on this Forum. I do need a little laughter in my life every now and then. God bless to you all, and remember, be yourself in the Lord, and don't let anyone change you, condemn you, or tell you that you are wrong, okay? Love ya! :)

That's funny, I thought Bin Laden was the greatest threat to America... Those gays, hmmm, they pay taxes, raise children, go to jobs, make money, are in the military, are teachers, doctors, lawyers, physical therapists, nurses, etc. We are everywhere and granted there are some gays that are outlandish and do things out of the norm, but most of us are law abiding people... and we are a threat?

No the threat is the relentless drug trade, slavery in Somalia and other parts of Africa (not to mention other parts of the world) and a seemingly unending terroristic element in Palestine and the Arab world...

Amazing the perspectives of some people, some STUPID people...

Some people will do ANYTHING to draw attention away from global warming,

(Or their own personal shortcomings?) PNG, I think I like your version better, now that I think about it.

The Religious Wrong never seems to change, does it? We've been hearing the same tired stuff from them for several decades now. Actually, their intolerance is one of the greatest threats to America.

This person needs to retire from public office.

He needs to be the first Senator to walk on the moon. And the space ship could "accidentally" leave him there.
