I just got this in my email and I thought it worth sharing. There's some good information and inspiration here for those who wish to utilize it.

I'm much too angry to be non-violent of tongue when engaging with those who fervently disagree, but I have great confidence in the process itself - and for those of you who do have the ability to maintain that ever forgiving presence of mind. |
The Sundays of Solidarity is a GREAT idea. Even though I am a non-believer, I plan to participate. People need to see us and this is an excellent way to do it.
Thanks for posting this. Rick |
Cornerstone Church San Antonio
We attended John Hagee's Cornerstone Church on June 28th. We met with 2 couples in the reception afterwords and exchanged contact information. I also invited them to friend me on facebook. This was not a meeting to change anyone's mind about LBGT issues, but rather a meeting to put a face to LBGT people.
The couples we met were pleasant and we found some commonalities. I hope we will be able to continue our dialog with them. Judy Faris and Priscilla Baker Austin TX |
I read the Soulforce update on the visit with Cornerstone. Sounds like a positive experience. I'm looking forward to see if there is any progress with Hagee. Thanks for your participation in this!

Cornerstone Church San Antonio
I also attended the Atticus Circle Soulforce joint action at Cornerstone. I thought the service was a little dimensional with the reoccurring message of warriors for Christ / saved or damned theme.
Pastor Hagee offered a wonderful response to our invitation to conversation at the chapel afterwards. I am concerned about Cornerstones refusal to admit outside (i.e. SA)reporting or allowing our people to record the conversation. I did not make any good connections at the Chapel with Cornerstone members but I beleive if Cornerstone's ministries should again proclaim tha natural disasters may be blamed on LGBT people there will be at least one member who would question 'because of kelli?' |
This is a great idea! Received the same email. I'm very glad that Soulforce is doing this outreach.

Agree that this must be a joke and a bad one at that.
Our banner might read "I have a dream that some day all people would be considered equal." |
