Wow, Vermont!
This must mean some members of the House of Representatives changed their vote. Does anyone know who? It would be nice to send them little notes of thanks and support.
Not many deets available yet: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090407/...iage_vermont_3 |
Zerb,
Great News! This weakens the argument that we should settle for "civil unions" or "domestic partnerships" or "whatever"---why settle for anything less than the real thing! Steven Webster |
and surprisingly, I haven't received an email from the Pennsylvania Family Institute nor the Pennsylvania for Marriage organization. Usually those arrive within hours of such decisions (and the separate emails within minutes of each other....) and they are screaming about how unfair this is!
it usually goes something like: blah blah blah, protect the family. blah blah blah, activist judges, blah blah blah, think of the children, blah blah blah, call your legislator, blah blah blah send us money  hooray VT, Iowa, MA, and CT !!!!! :weee: |
This is wonderful. Thank you Vermont legislature for recognizing that all are equal under the law.
It seems like providence is giving us reason to still hope after all the garbage from last fall. |
