Soulforce and the MCC
 

As an addendum to my post yesterday, I wanted to ask if there is any link -- official or otherwise -- between Soulforce, the organization, and the MCC. It came up in the thread I've been contributing to at Queerty and I want to make sure I have my facts in order.

Soulforce has had close ties to MCC over our ten years. They've worked with us on a number of projects. And their leadership have shown up at many of our direct actions. During the first Equality Ride, Cindy Love joined us when the ER was in Texas. Nancy Wilson has been on a number of vigil lines with us. And during a couple of the Catholic actions, we've worked closely together. Kara

The person who brought up the topic was arguing that there was a financial connection, as well. Is that true?

Not that this is a bad thing in my view, just to be clear. However, the person who brought it up clearly thought it was, so again, I want to make sure I know the facts.

While, I would suspect that lots of MCC clergy and members support Soulforce as individuals, there is no financial connection between the two organizations.
