Lesbian testimony at Methodist conference

I would like to make you aware of some things we are dealing with in churches in Mississippi. It is disheartening. Please check out the article about the lesbian couple who gave their testimony at the annual Methodist conference and the big "flap" that resulted.

It is inevetable, the Methodists are quietly going thru the same things

That the Episcopalians and Anglicans are not-so-quietly going through. And the various Lutheran churches, and the Presbyterians, and the many other mainline denominations are going through all of this too.

Churches Need to Deal WIth It

I believe that these changes the churches are experiencing is good. There's still a big divide between homosexuality being inborn or a choice. Conservative churches seem to be more about conformity and thinking like they do rather than genuine Christan love. There was a time when African-Americans weren't welcome in predominantly white churches (it's still the case in some areas today).

I also don't see the need for these two women to apologize for their testimony.
