Soulforce Community Forums - Hello from Eurasia!

I’m a queer girl, who’s just getting used to that title. I’ve been falling in love with girls for over 10 years, but since I was raised in a conservative church that allowed no room for such lifestyles, I always believed I had to change myself. I kept praying for an answer on how I could be ‘normal’, but no answer ever came to me. One day about a year and a half ago, I began to think, maybe that is God’s answer. I don’t need to change. I’m loved by God the way I am. I searched for others that might be like myself, Christian and queer. I found a church that was accepting and I finally felt free. I let go of the burden of trying to change myself and realized I was fine the way I am. Currently, I’m living abroad, volunteering in Eurasia. When I moved out here to volunteer, I became separated from my accepting church. While I told my close friends about me back home, here I’m still in the closet. So in looking for a new accepting community I could interact with, I found soulforce from a whosever podcast. I’m glad that such organizations like this exist. I look forward to getting to know all of you. :)
